I for one welcome my new AI overlords. Please let me click a button and have a 3rd grade version of your silly new cell phone “deal” email written for me. I am sure it will garner the desired 0.03% click thru rate and just miss a chance of an Effy nomination.
Why are we fighting AI? We need to embrace, the vast majority of the crap we as an industry put out should be automated and handed over to a computer algorithm. The people don’t read the emails, they don’t click the banner ads, they fast forward during the TV commercial (or pick up the phone and mute the tv if they can’t skip it). They don’t want to hear about the latest medical breakthrough for a disease they don’t have and likely will never have.
